Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for purchasing and design of automation.
• Responsible for the generation of cost saving opportunities related to automation and the presentation of this to management on a regular basis.
• Maintains and improves all existing automation machines in the division.
• Coordinates automation activities with outside suppliers.
• Generate specifications for new automation machines.
• Approves designs of new automation machines.
• Manage construction time schedules to meet the production schedule needs on new automation machines.
• Responsible for procurement of purchase orders for automation projects at suppliers.
• Assists in production start-ups as related to automation machines.
• Assists with the troubleshooting of new and existing automation machines.
• Oversee each division's continual improvement of automation machines.
• Assists other divisions with various automation projects as needed.
• Required to use a handheld propane torch on the production floor.
