Automation Developer

Location: Austin Texas


Position Summary

The Automation Developer supports the design, build, and expansion of the department’s automation strategy through Power Platform technologies, API integration, scripting, OCR, and workflow modernization. This role is responsible for developing scalable solutions that reduce manual effort, improve operational reliability, and move the organization from desktop-based automation to enterprise-level automation.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Power Automate, Power Apps, and related automation solutions supporting operational workflows.
  • Design API-driven and unattended workflows that reduce employee-triggered processing and workstation dependency.
  • Build and manage automation frameworks for document generation, template administration, and print-job orchestration.
  • Own and expand OCR-enabled document processing to improve inbound mail classification, routing, and processing accuracy.
  • Develop and support automation using JSON, Python, JavaScript, and browser-based or RPA solutions where needed.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve automation reliability, governance, recovery, and supportability.
  • Partner with business teams to translate policy and process requirements into scalable automation solutions.

Qualifications
  • Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps development.
  • Experience designing workflow automation solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Experience with API integration, JSON, and system-to-system automation design.
  • Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript for scripting and process automation.
  • Experience with OCR, document processing, or intelligent document handling workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting, workflow design, governance, and solution documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage, develop, and stabilize workflows in a fast-paced operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, and automated document generation.
  • Experience supporting print automation or Adobe InDesign-based workflow processes.
