Job description

Who We Are:

We are Accenture's Supply Chain and Engineering reinvention partner for Life Sciences. We embed innovation, intelligence, and AI-native operations into the way the world designs, engineers, manufactures, and distributes products. We serve Life Sciences clients across the value chain to help bring lifesaving medicines and products to patients through harnessing the power of advanced technologies.

The Work:

Accenture is seeking a Senior Consultant or Manager to lead compliance-driven fulfillment transformation within our Supply Chain & Engineering practice for Life Sciences. We work with pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and specialty distributor clients globally to navigate an era of unprecedented regulatory pressure and global trade volatility - combining deep domain expertise with AI-enabled technology to modernize how life sciences products move through the supply chain. The role is responsible for delivering large-scale Life Sciences Fulfillment and Global Trade programs - spanning product traceability and distribution compliance, GDP-aligned operations, import/export management, and cold chain logistics - while building Accenture's differentiated Fulfillment capability.

Key Responsibilities:

At a Senior Consultant / Manager level, key responsibilities could include:

  • Lead delivery of product traceability and distribution compliance programs, helping clients design and implement the processes, governance, and technology architectures needed to meet evolving regulatory obligations across pharmaceutical and medical device supply chains.

  • Drive AI-enabled fulfillment transformation - applying intelligent automation, agentic workflows, and advanced analytics across the full spectrum of fulfillment functions including order management, transportation, warehousing, global trade, and reverse logistics to help clients operate with greater speed, visibility, and efficiency.

  • Design and implement cold chain distribution networks and temperature-controlled logistics strategies, including carrier qualification, deviation management, and continuous monitoring technology integration applicable to both pharma and medical device products.

  • Lead import/export compliance workstreams across FDA, CBP, and cross-border documentation requirements - managing trade lane risk, tariff exposure, and regulatory alignment across APAC and LATAM corridors for both drug and device product categories.

  • Lead client programs associated with warehouse management system transformation - overseeing design, implementation, and optimization across platforms including SAP EWM, Manhattan Active WMS, Blue Yonder, and others - with a focus on GxP-regulated life sciences distribution environments.

  • Translate complex regulatory requirements - GDP, GxP quality system standards, and applicable distribution compliance frameworks - into technology and process architectures that are both compliant and operationally intelligent.

  • Apply data and AI capabilities to supply chain visibility, traceability exception management, and global trade analytics - helping clients move from reactive compliance to proactive, insight-driven operations.

  • Support sales origination and business development by building client relationships, contributing to proposals, and shaping go-to-market offerings across Life Sciences Fulfillment and Global Trade.

  • Coach and develop junior team members, building practice capability and contributing reusable delivery assets.

Travel - candidates must be willing to travel up to 75% to client locations.

Here's What You Need:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience delivering fulfillment or supply chain transformation programs in pharmaceutical, medical device, or broader life sciences environments, ideally within consulting or professional services.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience leading product traceability and distribution compliance programs in life sciences - with working knowledge of GDP, GxP quality system requirements, and applicable regulatory distribution frameworks across pharma and/or medical device.

  • Bachelor's degree

Key Skills:

  • Familiarity with import/export compliance - FDA, CBP, cross-border documentation - and multi-corridor trade lane management for life sciences products.

  • Cold chain logistics expertise including temperature-controlled warehousing design, carrier qualification, and deviation response for pharma and/or medical device products.

  • Experience leading warehouse management system transformation programs in life sciences or regulated environments - across platforms such as SAP EWM, Manhattan Active WMS, Blue Yonder, or equivalent; deep platform expertise in one or more is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients, lead workstreams independently, and deliver with excellence in fast-moving regulatory environments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical compliance requirements into clear, executive-ready narratives.

  • Familiarity with AI, automation, and digital capabilities as applied to life sciences distribution compliance and supply chain visibility - and genuine curiosity about their evolving application.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Hybrid experience in both consulting and in-house pharmaceutical or medical device supply chain or 3PL operations.

  • Exposure to agentic AI platforms applied to supply chain visibility or compliance monitoring.

  • Experience with global trade volatility scenarios - tariff mitigation, reshoring strategy, or APAC/LATAM distribution network redesign across life sciences product categories.
