Job Details

Summary of Role:

Develops automated systems independently. Coordinates resources. Helps to identify and develop new technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and teaching end users about their automated systems.
  • Implements new systems. Coordinates internal and external resources.
  • Assists in the development of new systems.
  • May lead and/or supervise RAs, RAE Associates, and RAEs.
  • Maintains the documentation of specialized laboratory automation systems.
  • Collaborates with outside resources
  • Develops new automation - often incorporating new technologies.
  • Manages internal and external resources.
  • May supervise RAs, RAE Associates, RAEs, and ASs.
  • Manages the documentation of specialized laboratory automation systems.
  • Attends scientific meetings and technical training courses to gather expertise on the programming, electromechanical and control features of custom automated systems, as well as their scientific application

Shift: M-F 8a-5p (flexible for night weekend work when project required)

Location: Juncos, PR

Education: BS in electrical, computer, mechanical engineering and or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electrical / controls / software engineering
  • PLC-HMI, Rockewll and/or Siemens programing or troubleshooting
  • Vision Systems, Systech, Cognex, Keynece
  • Computer System Validation
  • Data Integrity

Skills:

  • Depth and breadth of experience and knowledge of program and project management concepts and processes,
  • can demonstrate skills in situations with a large number of variables and high-level of complexity.
  • Exhibits an expert ability to impact and influence project outcomes.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and to build a strong network and relationships at executive levels across IT
  • functions and the business.
  • Able to identify, assess and resolve complex business problems/issue/risks and facilitate issue resolution and
  • risk mitigation.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong scientific/ technical reading/writing skills.

This position is for a fixed term contract supporting one of ECHO Consulting Group (a Cencora company) partners on site at their facility.
