B&R Industrial Automation, a part of ABB's Automation Business Segment, seeks to hire an Engineering Manager. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of designers/engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective, and timely automation and industrial controls solutions to customers. Each day, you will formulate plans and allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. You will also showcase your expertise by initiating, coordinating, driving, and overseeing team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability.

The work model for the role is:Hybrid with a preferred location in Alpharetta, GA. #LI-Hybrid

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Ensures delivery of technical automation solutions according to customer requirements and participates in customer meetings to drive growth and expand existing projects.

  • Allocates resources effectively, balancing workload and ensuring optimal team productivity.

  • Oversees project planning, execution, and closure to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget while managing technical risks.

  • Drives team performance to ensure deliverables are met on time and in line with contract specifications, safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.

Qualificationsfor the role:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of Engineering experience ORequivalent years of experience required

  • 2+ years of leadership experience preferred

  • Proven expertise in project and engineering risk management, with the ability to apply agile methodologies, design thinking, and data-driven insights to solve complex problems and drive effective decision-making

  • Prior experience within the automation, industrial controls, programming or similar industry highly preferred

  • Strong leadership and people development skills combined with the ability to provide technical consulting, coaching, and guidance

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time; Valid Passport with no barriers is required

  • Candidates must already haveworkauthorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
