Job description

Responsibilities
We are seeking an Automation Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions that improve operational efficiency across business functions. This role will focus heavily on process analysis, automation development, and integration within the Microsoft ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps, and the ability to analyze manual processes and design scalable automation solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a software engineering manager and a collaborative team of peers in a fast-paced environment focused on digital transformation and process optimization. This is a long-term contract position based in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in software development, automation engineering, or related technical roles.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Automate and familiarity with Power Apps.
  • Hands-on experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem, including SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
  • Understanding of process mapping, workflow automation, and business process analysis.
  • Experience with scripting or programming (e.g., PowerShell, Python, C#, Java, or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
  • Exposure to SAP or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
  • Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or enterprise process environments.
  • Familiarity with Windows environments and exposure to Linux systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsA valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
