Role Summary

As a Door Technician you'll be the face of Nashville Door in the field - diagnosing, repairing, and installing commercial door and entrance systems while embodying our Core Values. You'll partner with our team to make sure each facility manager can "set it and forget it" when it comes to their doors.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Service & Install: Repair, install, and maintain automatic doors, manual storefronts, revolving, and other entrance products on-site.
  • Customer Communication: Meet with customers before and after work to review scope, findings, and preventive recommendations.
  • Workflow & Documentation: Complete dispatches, work orders, notes and time logs accurately in electronic notes; submit parts requests and paperwork promptly.
  • Inventory Care: Manage parts and materials on your assigned service vehicle and keep a clean, safe jobsite.
  • Safety & Quality: Follow OSHA, AAADM, and company safety standards; ensure every door leaves operating to code.

 What You'll Bring
  • Experience: At least 2+ year installing or servicing automatic and manual commercial doors OR related trades
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable with hand/power tools; able to diagnose mechanical and low-voltage electrical issues.
  • Work Ethic: Willing to work overtime, occasional weekends, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Physical Requirements: Lift 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet in varying environments.
  • Credentials: High-school diploma/GED; valid driver's license with clean record; ability to pass background check and drug screen.
