Job description

Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Program Manager/Senior Director of Support Services, the Data Entry Clerk will perform required data entry, data quality assurance, eCW date integrity verification, and clerical functions to support the Ryan Network Information Technology Department. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Ryan Health.
Essential Functions:
  • Perform computerized data entry using the AIDS Institute Reporting System (AIRS), eClinical Works (eCW), eSHARE and other databases by processing source data for computer entry into the various Ryan Network databases. Compile and sort/filter information; review data for deficiencies; resolve discrepancies by using standard procedures; or return incomplete documentation to service staff for resolution; maintain logs/record of work completed.
  • Verify and reconcile entered data by reviewing and correcting data; combine data from various sources when information is incomplete; purge records to eliminate duplication of data, in addition to utilizing IT tools to identify synchronization discrepancies between databases.
  • As needed, produce automated reports of data entered for the monitoring of various programs.
  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures in the performance of the data entry and clerical functions; protect the confidentially of the data and patient information at all times.
  • Work as part of the Data team, and as needed, provide backup to meet external and internal reporting deadlines.
  • Attend departmental meetings.
  • Immediately report any problems and unusual occurrences to the appropriate supervisor(s).
  • Must demonstrate a professional, courteous and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, immediate supervisor(s) and other Network employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Other special projects/assignments as needed.

Minimum Experience and Skills Required:
  • Data entry skills; attention to detail; thoroughness; analyze information; time management; work independently; experience with MS: Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with AIRS, eSHARE and eClinicalWorks a plus.

Education, Licenses and/or Certifications Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
