Job description

Autoliv's primary goal is to Save More Lives. Our products never get a second chance. This is why we can never compromise on quality. We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Quality Engineer.

Core Responsibilities:

  • This individual is responsible for leading high‑risk customer issues and driving structured problem solving across the plant.

  • They own Category A and B customer concerns and ensure issues are driven to sustainable closure using disciplined methods.

  • Lead Category A and B customer issues from notification through closure.

  • Own and drive 8D problem solving with strong containment, root cause, and systemic corrective actions

  • Serve as single‑point owner for assigned customer issues

  • Coordinate and lead cross‑functional teams across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality

  • Lead systemic quality improvement projects across the plant as needed to address repeat issues, risks, or gaps

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and high‑quality documentation in the 8D database

  • Communicate clearly and professionally, including customer‑facing interactions when required

  • Identify repeat issues and systemic risks; drive defect prevention and recurrence reduction

  • Promote and apply Autoliv Standards and Quality fundamentals

  • Actively contributes to reduction of TNQC

  • Report on issue status, timing, and effectiveness of corrective actions

  • Champion Quality First mindset and disciplined execution during escalations

  • Lead by example; demonstrate the Autoliv Way and Q5 behavior

  • Enforce stable, controlled processes through effective corrective actions
