Production Operator – Autoclave: Lena, Illinois
Our customer in Lena, Illinois is looking for a dependable, detailoriented individual to join their team as a Production Operator – Autoclave to work fulltime on 1st shift. In this role, you will support the production of brie, goat, and feta cheese by operating autoclave equipment and assisting with key production and sanitation processes in a food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities of the Production Operator – Autoclave:
  • Operate autoclave equipment while monitoring temperature and pressure settings.
  • Move product in and out of the autoclave safely for processing.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) during all production steps.
  • Complete required production and process documentation accurately.
  • Perform daily and weekly sanitation and cleaning tasks following SSOP guidelines.
  • Verify production parameters and report any issues or deviations to leadership.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the shift.
  • Work as part of a production team to meet daily output goals.
Production Operator – Autoclave Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to push or pull palletized product using a pallet jack.
  • Ability to work in environments with heat, cold, humidity, noise, and chemicals.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
  • Cheesemaker license required for level 3 roles (if applicable).
  • Forklift experience and certification required for material handling duties (if applicable).
Pay for Production Operator – Autoclave: $18.00/hour.
