Drafter / CAD Technician Position Summary

We're looking for a Drafter/CAD Technician to update and maintain technical drawings across a variety of disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, architectural, and facilities projects. This role primarily involves converting redline markups into accurate AutoCAD drawings and supporting engineers, designers, and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Update drawings based on redline markups and design changes
  • Create and revise CAD drawings, layouts, and documentation
  • Maintain drawing files, revisions, and records
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure drawing accuracy
  • Perform basic quality checks and follow drafting standards
  • Support multiple projects and meet project deadlines

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, certificate, or training in Drafting, CAD, Design Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience OR 2+ years of professional AutoCAD experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and markups
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred

  • Experience with Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, Revit, Civil 3D, or SolidWorks
  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, manufacturing, architectural, or industrial projects
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and document management systems

  • Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
