Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:

The warehouse assistant performs tasks assigned by the warehouse manager which include but are not limited to: basic warehouse functions, cleaning, facility maintenance and running requested and necessary errands.

JOB ACTIVITIES:

  • Ambassador and spokesperson for the company
  • Work as a team with other team members
  • Understand and follow all company philosophies, policies and procedures
  • Understand and follow written and verbal instructions given
  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Complete required and requested paperwork correctly for the department by due dates given
  • Perform related work as assigned
  • Attend all required training classes
  • Seek additional educational opportunities as needed
  • Meet company performance standards per performance reviews
  • Follow all company safety rules and requirements
  • Operate company vehicle in a safe & professional manner
  • Drive company vehicles to supply houses, city buildings, job sites and any other location that many be needed to pick up or deliver material, permits and other items as requested
  • Progress from location to location in a time efficient manner using knowledge of  maps, streets and directions
  • Unload and load technician trucks as needed and requested
  • Label material and equipment
  • Inventory warehouse and technicians trucks
  • Clean warehouse, facility and grounds as needed and requested; includes but is not   limited sweeping, yard work and shoveling, cleaning bathrooms and taking out trash
  • Stock materials in warehouse as requested
  • Pull material from warehouse to stage for jobs as requested
  • Take care of recycling material.
  • Equipment Maintenance
  • Light Vehicle Maintenance, including completion of inspection forms.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:

Experience and Training, Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic math and reading comprehension
  • Knowledge and understanding of map book utilization
  • Be capable of driving the vehicles within the Brothers Plumbing & Heating, Inc. truck fleet

Other:

  • Required to sign a Confidentiality agreement with the company
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License
  • Have and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record in compliance with auto insurance requirements
  • Successfully complete all background checks, drug testing and employment  screening        
  • Neatly groomed per dress code policy
