Job description

Job Summary: The Auto Glass Installer is responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently installing, repairing, and replacing automotive glass on a variety of vehicles. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to always represent the company in a professional manner. The installer plays a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality workmanship and clear communication throughout each service.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Perform auto glass installations, repairs, and replacements in a safe, timely, and professional manner following all best practices and manufacturer procedures.
• Follow proper processes for removing and installing windshields, door glass, back glass, and other automotive glazing components.
• Maintain open, clear, and honest communication with supervisors, customers, and co-workers.
• Represent the company in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service, explaining work performed and ensuring customer questions are addressed.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and gloves while handling glass and tools.
• Comply with all company safety rules, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Always drive company vehicles safely, adhering to all traffic laws and company driving policies.
• Complete all required paperwork and job documentation forms accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work truck/van, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
• Assist team members when needed; contribute to a positive, cooperative work environment.
• Manage inventory on the service vehicle and report material shortages or issues.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to learn and follow technical instructions, safety protocols, and installation procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
Preferred:
• Prior experience in auto glass installation, automotive repair, or related field.
• Certification or training through industry organizations (e.g., AGSC, NGA) is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements (if applicable):

• Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver glass pieces and equipment up to 75 lbs.

• Ability to enter, exit, and move around various vehicle types.
