Position Summary:

The Finance Manager serves as the Club's financial leader and trusted business partner, responsible for overseeing the overall financial health of Green Bay Country Club. This role provides strategic financial analysis and guidance to support organizational objectives, operational excellence, and long-term planning.


Working closely with the General Manager/COO, Board of Directors, and department leaders, the Finance Manager oversees all accounting and financial functions while identifying opportunities to enhance financial performance, improve processes, and support informed decision-making. The position is responsible for accounting, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, compliance, and financial controls while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and member billing.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, KPI reports, and variance analyses.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and support department leaders with financial planning and decision-making.
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and internal control standards.
  • Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors and advisors.
  • Monitor expenditures, collections, inventory, fixed assets, and capital projects.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and financial performance.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial, employee, member, and Club information.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in hospitality, private clubs, or service-based industries is a plus.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, with occasional standing and walking throughout Club facilities. 
  • Requires clear vision for reviewing financial documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. 
  • Frequent communication with staff, leadership, and members in person, by phone, and via email. 
  • On site work is required to support Club operations and leadership needs, with flexibility available based on workload and activities.
