Job Overview
Job Description
Avid Acceptance is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our Account Servicing Department. This role is essential in managing delinquent customer accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and reducing company losses. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and negotiator who enjoys working in a team environment and is committed to excellence in customer service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Contact customers regarding past-due accounts and assist in resolving outstanding balances.
  • Identify, track, and investigate delinquent accounts to determine the best course of action.
  • Work closely with customers to negotiate payment arrangements and guide them through repayment options.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments and maintain positive relationships.
  • Use databases to monitor and update account status, including changes related to bankruptcies, repossessions, and other relevant events.
  • Complete Welcome Calls with new customers, ensuring they understand their payment options and account terms.
  • Monitor impounds and take necessary action to secure company collateral.
  • Validate and approve due date changes and deferments when necessary.
  • Assist with office duties and administrative tasks as needed.
Skills, Education, and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Experience in collections or past-due payment recovery (preferred but not required).
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • High level of personal commitment and reliability.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to use databases.
