Role
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our Finance team. In this role, you will serve as the senior financial leader for our Thacker Pass Operations, working out of our Winnemucca office, responsible for financial planning and analysis, site-level reporting, internal controls, and business partnership with operational leadership. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization committed to innovation, sustainability, and leadership in the clean energy sector.
The role is based of our Winnemucca, Nevada office and reports to the Vice President, FP&A. Occasional travel to other LAC offices, project sites, or vendor locations may be required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all site-level FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range planning
  • Oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to Corporate Finance
  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to the Site General Manager, providing insights that support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Lead and develop the site-based finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure the effectiveness of SOX internal controls and maintain strong financial governance across all site processes
  • Support cost accounting, inventory management, capital project evaluation, and operational KPI reporting
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies
  • Builds and maintains trusted relationships across all teams while championing a culture that reflects and supports our Purpose, Vision, and Values
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA designation required (U.S. or Canadian)
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership responsibility at a manufacturing, chemical, mining, or industrial operation
  • Demonstrated experience as a finance leader at an operating site (e.g., plant controller, mine controller, or similar)
  • Strong background in FP&A, cost accounting, operational finance, and financial reporting
  • Proven ability to lead teams, partner with operational leaders, and drive performance improvement
  • Deep understanding of SOX internal controls and financial compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
