About the Position: This position serves as a Financial Manager (Comptroller) for the U.S. Army Security Assistance Command located at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Army's Face to the World, the one-stop focal point for Army FMS, and the international partner of choice in U.S. Security Assistance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Analyzing financial programs and operations to recommend improvements in policies, procedures, and resource allocation; 2) Administering budget and accounting systems, such as the Program Budget and Accounting System (PBAS), to ensure compliance with regulatory controls and financial policies; 3) Developing budgetary submissions and financial plans to support the integration and execution of command-level missions and programs; AND 4) Providing advice and guidance on financial management matters to assist leadership in making decisions related to security assistance and resource management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performance at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GS-14).
