About the Role

Laurel Ford is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auto Body Shop Technician to join our busy collision center in Laurel, MS.

In this role, you will perform quality structural, body, and panel repairs on all vehicle makes and models, restoring damaged vehicles back to factory safety standards and pre-accident condition. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and want to work in a well-equipped shop with a steady workflow, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Body Repair: Repair and replace damaged sheet metal, bumpers, fenders, doors, hoods, and vehicle body parts according to manufacturer specifications.

  • Structural Repair: Perform frame alignment, unibody pull, and major structural body repairs using computerized frame-measuring equipment.

  • Disassembly & Assembly: Tear down damaged areas to uncover hidden structural damage, order required OEM parts, and reassemble vehicles post-repair.

  • Welding & Panel Fitting: Execute proper welding techniques (mig, spot, aluminum) and align vehicle panels to achieve exact factory gap tolerances.

  • Quality & Safety: Conduct thorough quality checks on all repairs to ensure safety, structural integrity, and high customer satisfaction scores.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of professional experience as an auto body technician or collision repair mechanic.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in metal shaping, structural frame repair, plastic repair, welding, and panel replacement.

  • Certifications: I-CAR Certification or ASE Collision Repair Certifications are a major plus.

  • Tools: Must possess a set of professional auto body hand and power tools appropriate for your experience level.

  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record (Required).

  • Pre-Employment: Must be willing to undergo a standard background check and drug screening.
