Augusta University's College of Nursing invites applications for full-time, 12-month, faculty member as an Instructor. We are the state's flagship nursing program, enrolling more than 1000 students on two campuses and at numerous academic-practice partner sites. The College of Nursing, an integral component of the University System of Georgia is part of the state's only publicly-funded comprehensive academic health science center including schools of medicine, dentistry, and allied health sciences. The College of Nursing is adjacent to Wellstar MCG Health, Children's Hospital of Georgia, Georgia Cancer Center, and the Veterans Administration Medical Center, providing ample opportunity for clinical experiences for students and faculty. The college offers the full degree spectrum including BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD programs. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary by Pre-Licensure Program concentration, expertise and academic rank.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree in nursing. Active licensure to practice nursing in the state of Georgia or meet all eligibility requirements to apply for a nursing license in the state of Georgia.
Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be:
- Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation;
- Evidence of ability as a teacher;
- Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
- Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,
- Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
Academic teaching experience in clinical, simulation or skills lab. Didactic teaching experience with classroom technology.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round.
The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time.
Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
