Job description

Cognizant is seeking a Field Services Audio Visual Technician for a full-time opportunity in Chicago, IL.
Qualified applicants must have valid US work authorization. Cognizant will not sponsor visas now or anytime in the future.
The Field Services Audio Visual Technician provides onsite technical support for conference room technologies, collaboration platforms, audio visual systems, end-user devices, and workplace technology infrastructure. This role is responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support of audio visual equipment. The technician ensures reliable technology performance, delivers excellent customer service, and minimizes disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Audio Visual & Collaboration Support
  • Support and maintain audio visual conferencing systems, telepresence solutions, meeting room panels, and collaboration technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve audio, video, display, microphone, camera, and connectivity issues.
  • Provide break-fix support for conference room equipment and integrated AV systems.
  • Test video conferencing rooms before scheduled meetings, executive presentations, and business events.
  • Configure and support Microsoft Teams Rooms and other collaboration platforms.
  • Provide technical support for live events, executive presentations, town halls, and hybrid meetings.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers for escalations, equipment repairs, and replacements.
  • Troubleshooting knowledge on network related issues
  • Experience working on Crestron, Cisco, Poly gears and able to troubleshoot device functions
  • Provide onsite support for local infrastructure, network equipment, and workplace technology devices.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, service requests, equipment changes, and completed activities.
  • Follow established service procedures, security requirements, safety standards, and agreed service-level timelines.

Qualifations:
  • Hands-on experience supporting audio visual systems, conference rooms, and workplace technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms, video conferencing platforms, cameras, microphones, displays, and control panels.
  • Experience troubleshooting computers, operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, customer service, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to support business events and quickly resolve technical issues with minimal operational disruption.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with users, internal teams, vendors, and service providers.

The salary range for this role is between $63000 and $73000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 8/18/2026.
