Audio Visual Technician

We are seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician who is passionate about technology, service excellence, and creating memorable event experiences.

As an Audio Visual Technician, you will play a key role in supporting meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events by ensuring all audio visual equipment is set up, operating properly, and meeting the unique needs of our guests. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while collaborating with a dedicated team committed to exceeding guest expectations.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up, install, and operate audio visual equipment including computers, microphones, sound systems, projectors, video displays, lighting, and related equipment for meetings, conferences, presentations, weddings, and special events.
  • Configure equipment according to event specifications and room layouts to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Monitor audio and video quality throughout events and make real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Provide prompt, professional, and courteous assistance to guests and event organizers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues involving computers, presentation software, and audio visual equipment.
  • Test equipment before events to ensure proper functionality and reliability.
  • Assist with lighting setup and operation for a variety of event types.
  • Clean, maintain, and properly store audio visual equipment after use.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and report equipment concerns to management.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of audio visual equipment and supplies.
  • Support on-site events and adapt to changing event needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attend departmental meetings, training sessions, and company-required meetings.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, security, emergency preparedness, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Arrive on time and maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company uniform standards.
  • Assist other departments and perform additional duties as assigned.
