The Audio-Visual (AV) Supervisor will assist in the supervision of the Audio-Visual (AV) hosts working throughout the amusement park. The position reports directly to the Audio-Visual Manager with efficient operation of the department to provide a positive guest experience.

We are currently looking for a:

Adventureland Park - AV/Sound Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities:

    Supervisory Duties:

    • Supervise the daily operations of theAudio Visual/Soundteamand any other assigned departments

    • Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation ofAdventureland'score values

    • Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assignedhosts

    • Becomeknowledgeable ofperforming the essential duties of allAV/Soundpositions and backfill thesepositions when needed

    • Participate inall aspects of supervision of assignedhosts, includinghiring,orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.

    • Ensure that all requiredmealand other breaks are being givenin accordance withIowalaw

    • Assistwithteamscheduling and timekeeping activities

    Departmental Duties:

    • Operate,maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and professional audio equipment

    • Operate audio and lighting mixers during live performances

    • Prepare andmaintainprofessional video display systemsin accordance withlarge group presentations

    • Maintain andoperatesurveillance systems, research incidents as necessary

    • Provide support for all aspects of resort operations,includingThemePark, Waterpark, Animal Park, Hotel, Restaurant, and/or Campgrounds

    • Developrapportwith department staff and entertainers

    • Assistin planning, preparing, and executing Phantom Fall Fest and other hosted events at the park locations

    • All other duties assigned by leadership

    Language:Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

    Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred

    • College degree or technical training inElectrical Engineering,Sound Engineering,Sound Technician,Music Production,Sound Production, Communications Technology,Radio and Television Broadcastingor related discipline

    • 2+ years ofpreviousAV/Sound experience highlyrequired

    • Excellent computerproficiencyand mechanical aptitude

    • Knowledge of installation, configuration, and maintenance of AV systems and equipment

    Requirements:

    • Must be at least18 years of age tocomply withIowaChildLabor Laws

    • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to close

    • Ability tofrequentlywork hours that extend beyond 9 AM to 5 PM during the operating season and event set-upactivities

    • Mustpossessa valid driver's license anda good drivingrecord

    • Basic knowledge of commercial and/or professional audio systemsrequired

    • Mustpossessstrong organizational skills,attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

    • Proficient ability withsolderingtechniques is highly desired

    • Mustpossesssome mechanical aptitude and be able to usea variety of hand and power tools

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, climb, or squat forlong periodsof time

    • Ability to remain sedentary for extended periods of time, while using a computer

    • Ability to walk long distances throughout the park

    • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objectsweighing 50 poundsor more

    • Ability to work in allnon-conventional areas of the property, including in confined spaces or above ground-level, on scaffolds, ladders, and manlifts

    • Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools

    • Ability to see differences between colors and brightness

    • Ability to seedetails of objects that are more than a few feet away

    Working Conditions:

    • This role will be basedinboth an office setting as well as outdoor Park environment

    • Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities

    • Frequent exposure tothe variableoutside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust,rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions

    • Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noiselevels, flashing lights, bright light, vibrations, dust, and exposure to various chemicals
