The choice depends on your preference for remote work versus on-site technical tasks.

What does an Audio Visual Engineer do when working from home?

An Audio Visual (AV) Engineer working from home is responsible for designing, setting up, and maintaining audio and video systems remotely. However, on-site presence may be required for equipment installation, setup, and live event support. The ability to work remotely depends on the employer, project requirements, and the engineer's skills with remote communication tools and audio-visual technology.

How to become an audio visual engineer?

To become an audio visual engineer, you typically need a relevant associate's or bachelor's degree in audio engineering, electronics, or a related field. Gaining experience with AV equipment, troubleshooting skills, and certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) can improve job prospects. Familiarity with audio, video, and control systems is essential for working in this role, which often involves installation, maintenance, and technical support.
