We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in our growing MEP group in our Milwaukee Headquarters office. This position offers rewarding project challenges and an opportunity to contribute to a well-established technical team. We are especially seeking candidates with strong low voltage systems experience to help support and grow this critical area of our practice.
For the right candidate, being a member of the GRAEF Electrical Team will provide opportunities to:

  • Perform calculations, equipment selection, and design for electrical systems, including low voltage infrastructure.

  • Participate in project pursuits, proposals, and developing strong client relationships.
  • Mentor less experienced electrical staff.

We are considering Electrical Engineer candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
  • Professional registration as a PE or RCDD.
  • Working knowledge of applicable building codes.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, and specification preparation for a variety of building types from office buildings, healthcare facilities, commercial buildings, educational buildings, aviation/port buildings, municipal/county buildings, and industrial buildings.
  • Demonstrated experience in low voltage systems (e.g., data/telecom, security, access control, audio-visual, and building automation).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Bluebeam.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical construction materials and methods.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple engineering disciplines is a plus.
  • Good interoffice and client communication skills and the ability to work independently are crucial.
  • Fee proposal preparation experience a plus.
