Job description

Cognizant is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented L2 Audio Visual Engineer to support enterprise AV and collaboration environments. This role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Zoom Room technologies while providing operational support to end users, field support teams, and AV engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, foundational Cognizant is seeking AV and IT knowledge, and the ability to resolve incidents efficiently while ensuring a high-quality user experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support Zoom Room environments, including monitoring room health, connectivity status, and operational readiness.
  • Utilize the Zoom Dashboard to identify and troubleshoot room-related issues.
  • Manage Zoom Room lifecycle activities, including room activation, construction mode configuration, and return-to-service validation.
  • Perform Zoom Room activation and configuration tasks, including management of activation codes and room setup requirements.
  • Utilize Zoom Room Web Controller and remote management tools to support room operations and incident resolution.
  • Conduct functional testing and validation of AV spaces in partnership with field support teams.
  • Leverage remote support tools to reboot systems, clear system notifications, and restore service availability.
  • Collaborate with L1 Field Services teams to troubleshoot and resolve AV and conferencing technology issues.
  • Provide operational and logistical support to AV Engineering and Desktop Technology teams as required.
  • Escalate complex incidents to senior AV engineers while documenting troubleshooting activities and findings.

Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience supporting enterprise AV, conferencing, or collaboration technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Zoom Rooms administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AV equipment, meeting room technologies, and collaboration platforms.
  • Basic understanding of networking, Windows operating systems, and IT service management practices.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve AV, audio, video, and conferencing issues.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across IT, Workplace Services, Facilities, and business teams.
  • Experience utilizing ticketing and incident management platforms.

  • Extron Certification

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US. Cognizant will not offer visa sponsorship now or in the future. This is an onsite role in Santa Clara, CA and applicants must be willing to work from the office.
