Job description

We are seeking a Corporate Audio Visual Support Technician to ensure smooth operation and support of AV technology across our corporate meeting spaces and live events.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio visual systems that support effective communication and business continuity. You will work closely with IT, Facilities, business teams, and external vendors to deliver practical AV solutions, support meetings and executive events, and maintain accurate system documentation.


Job Details

  • LOCATION: Richardson, TX 75080
  • POSITION: Contract
  • SCHEDULE: 8:00am to 5:00pm M-F
  • PAY RATE: $30.00 hour


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AV systems based on business requirements
  • Install and configure audio-visual equipment including microphones, speakers, video displays and digital signage players
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure AV systems are functioning properly
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to deliver integrated AV solutions
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users of AV systems
  • Update and maintain detailed documentation for AV systems and installations
  • Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and industry trends
  • Conduct system testing and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement
  • Manage inventory and order new AV equipment as needed
  • Assist in the setup and management of live events and presentations
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in AV system installations


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school education is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in audio-visual system installation and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams Rooms and AV integration
  • Knowledge of AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, MAXHUB)
  • Knowledge of digital signage systems (e.g., OptiSigns, MOOD Media)
  • Knowledge of network and IT infrastructure as it relates to AV systems
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the corporate sector
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in the use of AV equipment and tools
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when necessary
