Transcribers listen carefully to recordings and type out the dialogue, often including timestamps or speaker labels if required. Transcribers may work in various industries, including media, legal, medical, and general business. Many transcription jobs offer flexible, remote work opportunities.

What types of audio files and subject matter do audio transcribers typically work with?

Audio transcribers may handle a wide range of audio files, including interviews, conference calls, podcasts, legal proceedings, medical dictations, and recorded meetings. The subject matter can vary greatly depending on the employer or client, so adaptability and a willingness to learn new terminology are important.
