Production Technicians, Audio, will be responsible for operating and maintaining the look, feel and vibe of the day-to-day operations and building needs as well as executing AREA15 presented and co-produced events. As a Production Technician, Audio, you will build, operate, strike, and properly store all aspects of production including but not limited to: stage deck, truss, cables, consoles, speakers, and accessories. You are directly responsible for the setup and execution of all AREA15 produced and co-produced events. During Event Operations you will be directly responsible for audio systems but may also be tasked with assisting other team members in the Production Dept. as assigned by Production Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Ensures compliance with established venue policies such as safety, security, cleanliness and general operation procedures
  • Collaborates with Facilities management on equipment and maintenance needs
  • Responsible for ensuring the general upkeep and cleanliness of public venues and surrounding areas
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of all operating areas including MDF, A-Lot FOH riser & Stage, The Wall FOH & Stage, and any additional Portal FOH areas & Stage
  • Alert Management of all house equipment and supply inventory
  • Ensures venue compliance with all city and state regulations pertaining to venue occupancy, noise regulations and curfews, parking and traffic management, and ADA access
  • Responsible for venue security and patron safety, including but not limited to ensuring guest safety and crowd management, egress, venue policy enforcement, etc. regarding production equipment
  • Opening & Closing of the A-Lot trough, including running & maintaining all cables within
  • Implements AREA15's emergency response plans when necessary
  • Creates a professional team atmosphere
  • Follow event and venue operating policies and procedures
  • Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards) at all times.
  • Adhere to department and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards.
  • Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations.
  • 3 + years of production experience in performing arts center, music venue or similar
  • Related experience in production planning, budgeting, execution and management a plus
  • Practices strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to function efficiently and amiably in a fast paced, complex and demanding customer service environment
  • Working knowledge of production hardware and software including Yamaha Audio consoles, Dante Via & Controller, Lighting consoles, electrical layouts, basic Production networking, Video systems and signal flow
  • Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods of time
  • Must be proficient in the English language; additional language skills preferred
  • Boom Lift, Scissor Lift, and For Lift Certification (Company will provide training)
  • Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
  • Availability for varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
  • Must have the ability to operate and withstand high& low temperatures, including but not limited to heat, and strong winds, snow, and sun exposure.
