Job description

This position is responsible for the set up and operation of basic / large-scale audiovisual systems.

Essential Functions
•    Design, plan and install AV systems. 
•    Provide AV installation project oversight and updates. 
•    Inventory AV devices and materials intended for installation. 
•    Test and verify functionality of newly installed AV systems. 
•    Perform AV system maintenance and repair as needed.
•    Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
•    OSHA 30
•    CTS-I 
•    Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED equivalency 
•    Formal education in electronics or a related field preferred 
•    Excellent experience with audiovisual or other electro-mechanical installation techniques, or field servicing
•    Experience working in public places (schools, city/state offices, etc.) 
•    Industry certifications (Panduit, Systimax, BICSI, etc.) 
•    Valid driver’s license required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
•    Proven ability to lead both small and large groups of other technicians
•    Proven ability to effectively organize project communications, deliverables, and workflow
          o    Organization of all project communication and documentation produced during project. 
          o    Organization and documentation of all project material and deliverables created as part of the project
          o    Organization and monitoring of project milestones to assist in proper schedule management
•    Proven ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders 
          o    Communication with PM on manpower and material needs 
          o    Communication with clients/customers 
          o    Communication with other trades on jobsite 
          o    Ability to monitor project schedule and milestones and provide progress updates as needed
          o    Attendance of internal and external project meetings both in person and virtually 
•    Familiarity with MS office suite and other software suites applicable to the role including but not limited to: 
          o    MS Excel 
          o    MS Outlook 
          o    MS Word 
          o    Bluebeam 
•    Advanced industry/manufacturer certifications/trainings, examples include: 
          o    Forte Trainings o Audinate/Dante Levels 1-3
          o    QSYS Level 2 o Crestron 101 
          o    In depth understanding of audio concepts
•    Audio DSP configuration 
•    System tuning
•    SHURE level 2 
•    High level troubleshooting of Layer 2 issues: 
          o    Networking
          o    IP Conflicts 
          o    Firewalls 
          o    Routing 
•    Ability to track and document red line drawings. 
•    Commissioning and troubleshooting of audio systems. 
•    Master level knowledge and performance of tasks 
•    Proficient in Plan Grid and other construction related software. 
•    Knowing and willingness to push back on other trades in an effective and professional level. 
•    Ability to resolve conflict both internal and external.
