MADISON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT #38
TITLE: ON CALLBOX OFFICE ATTENDANT
SALARY SCHEDULE: Extra Duty/On Call Theater $18.00/HOUR
SUPERVISION: Supervised by the Box Office Manager
OVERVIEW: The Box Office Attendant is an outgoing, detail-oriented individual responsible for day-to-day box office duties and responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Possess or ability to obtain a fingerprint clearance card.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively in English with individuals and groups both verbally and in writing.
  4. Ability to relate to public, staff and students in a positive manner.
  5. Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service/sales skills.
  6. Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as a team.
  8. Ability to listen to concerns and resolve problems creatively.
  9. Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  10. AudienceView experience (preferred).
  11. Prior experience handling cash and balancing a till.
  12. Ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
  1. Assist customers with purchase of tickets over the internet, telephone and in-person.
  2. Operate ticketing system and follow box office procedures.
  3. Present a positive and welcoming first impression to customers.
  4. Provide customers with expedient responses to requests and issues, using a broad, precise knowledge of The Madison Center for the Arts performances, policies, and services.
  5. Provide quality customer service by responding in a timely manner, to walk-in customers, phone calls, or e-mail.
  6. Meet the obligations of the position by completing other duties as assigned.
  7. Prepare box office reports as required for the Box Office Manager.
  8. Reconcile cash sales at the beginning and end of shifts.
  9. Demonstrate discretion and professional behavior handling confidential information.
  10. Uphold Madison Center for the Arts policies and procedures and represent Madison Center for the Arts and Madison School District in a professional and welcoming manner at all times.

NOTE: Applicants may be required to have daytime availability. This position is an on-call position.
