Partnering closely with DSPs, MCA’s internal teams (Executive, Marketing, Commerce, Digital, Promo, Creative, Analytics, and A&R), and UMG’s Central Teams, this role is responsible for securing high-impact on-platform visibility, playlisting opportunities, and product support for MCA artists.The VP will leverage data-driven insights to shape and optimize streaming strategies, ensuring MCA’s artists achieve maximum reach and engagement. A key focus of the role is breaking new talent, expanding international presence, and strengthening catalog performance while building lasting relationships with DSP partners at all levels. Acting as a central collaborator with artists, managers, internal departments, and joint ventures, the VP, Streaming plays a critical role in advancing MCA’s broader mission of delivering growth, innovation, and global impact in the digital music landscape.**How you’ll CREATE:*** Lead the streaming strategy for the MCA or Mercury Nashville/EMI Nashville/Lucille Records roster, driving innovation to staying ahead of market shifts, industry trends, and emerging DSP opportunities.* Build and maintain strong relationships with DSP partners to secure visibility, playlisting, and marketing support for MCA’s artists and releases.* Effectively pitch new albums, singles, focus tracks, and videos to DSPs, ensuring maximum editorial and marketing support.* Champion strategies to introduce and break new artists on DSP platforms.* Develop and execute ongoing growth strategies for established and superstar artist projects while strengthening catalog performance and maintaining consistent growth in streaming revenue.* Partner with internal stakeholders (A&R, Marketing, Digital, Commerce, Analytics, Audience Development, Artist Teams, and JV Label Partners) to align streaming initiatives with broader company goals.* Work closely with the SVP, Commerce and Finance teams to forecast and manage budgets, and deliver on streaming revenue and consumption targets.* Analyze DSP and internal analytics to set projections, define KPIs, track performance, and identify opportunities for optimization.* Drive pre-save/pre-add campaigns and post-release strategies to maximize both first-week impact and long-term consumption throughout the release cycle.* Collaborate with UMG’s Central Teams and international markets to ensure best practices, global optimization, and ex-US growth strategies.* Communicate streaming goals, insights, and opportunities across MCA departments, to artist/management teams, and to DSP partners.* Utilize DSP partnerships to beta test new product offerings, pilot innovative marketing ideas, and capitalize on new platform initiatives.* Lead internal education on streaming strategy, establishing standard processes, clear goals, and scalable frameworks across MCA.* Represent MCA at industry events, partner meetings, and artist shows to strengthen relationships and advocate for label priorities.* Ensure all streaming strategies and communications reflect MCA’s brand standards, legal requirements, and commitment to artists.**Bring your VIBE:*** 7+ years of music industry experience, including 3+ years working directly with major DSPs.* Deep knowledge of DSP platforms and the global streaming landscape.* Strong understanding of the digital supply chain, metadata management, and their impact on DSP releases.* Familiarity with Country Radio, Publicity, and Digital/Social Media and how they influence streaming consumption and consumer behavior.* Knowledge of Country and adjacent genres, including Folk, Americana, and Christian Music.* Proficiency with Chartmetric, Luminate/MusicConnect, and DSP “for Artists” analytics platforms.* Exceptional organization, prioritization, and time management skills, with a proven track record of exceeding goals and meeting deadlines.* Strong executive presence with proven communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.* Ability to build and maintain best-in-class relationships with DSP partners and internal stakeholders.* Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.**Perks Playlist:**Join an entrepreneurial, global organization where authenticity, boldness, creativity, connection, drive, and insight aren’t just values—they’re how we work every day.
