Summary
The Senior Manager, Internal Communications is responsible for leading the development and execution of Allegiant's internal communications programs and strategies, ensuring that more than 9,000 Team Members across 22+ locations remain informed, engaged, connected, and aligned with company priorities. This role oversees communications across frontline, operational, and corporate audiences, fostering a transparent, two-way communication environment where Team Members are informed, heard, and empowered to share feedback and ideas.
Working closely with executive leadership, Human Resources, Culture & Engagement, and business leaders, this role develops and implements communication strategies that strengthen organizational culture, enhance the Team Member experience, support business priorities, and drive organizational alignment. The Senior Manager oversees internal communication channels, Team Member listening and engagement initiatives, change communications, and communication technology enhancements while serving as a strategic communications partner to leaders across the organization.
This role partners closely with Corporate Communications and Investor Relations to ensure alignment and coordination across Team Member, investor, media, and external stakeholder communications.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, intranet platforms, survey technologies, and internal communication tools and platforms.

Internal Communications Strategy
• Develop and execute internal communication strategies that align with business objectives, culture priorities, and organizational goals.
• Support enterprise initiatives, organizational changes, and strategic priorities through effective communication planning and execution.
• Establish and maintain communication standards, messaging frameworks, editorial guidelines, and best practices.
• Serve as a senior editor for internal communications and ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned across audiences.
• Partner with leaders and stakeholders to deliver timely, effective communications that support business needs.
Culture, Engagement & Team Member Experience
• Partner closely with the Culture & Engagement team to strengthen Allegiant's culture, values, Team Member experience, and sense of belonging.
• Develop and execute communication campaigns that reinforce the company's vision, values, culture, and leadership principles.
• Lead storytelling efforts that highlight Team Members, company achievements, operational excellence, and community impact.
• Partner with Human Resources and business leaders to support Team Member understanding and adoption of organizational changes.
• Support recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and company events through strategic communications.
Team Member Listening & Communication Insights
• Foster a culture of two-way communication by creating opportunities for Team Members to provide feedback, ideas, and perspectives.
• Manage Team Member listening programs and communication feedback channels.
• Partner with Culture & Engagement to administer surveys and communicate results, action plans, and organizational outcomes.
• Measure communication effectiveness through engagement metrics, readership data, and Team Member feedback.
• Use communication and engagement insights to improve content strategies, audience targeting, and channel effectiveness.
• Help ensure Team Members understand how their feedback contributes to organizational decisions and improvements.
Channels, Content & Communications Planning
• Manage Allegiant's internal communication channels and content calendar to effectively inform Team Members.
• Oversee the planning, writing, editing, and distribution of Team Member newsletters, intranet content, feature stories, announcements, and other internal communications.
• Partner with business leaders to communicate news, major initiatives, Team Member achievements, and department updates.
• Ensure content is engaging, accurate, timely, and aligned with company objectives.
Frontline & Workforce Communications
• Develop communication strategies tailored to frontline and operational Team Members, including pilots, flight attendants, maintenance technicians, and airport employees.
• Lead audience segmentation efforts to improve communication relevance and effectiveness.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify effective communication methods, channels, and messaging approaches.
• Lead initiatives that modernize frontline communications through mobile and digital communication tools.
• Oversee communication displays and digital messaging boards across operational and corporate locations.
• Ensure Team Members receive important information regardless of location, schedule, or work environment.
Leadership Communications & Engagement
• Lead content planning for Town Halls and large-scale Team Member communication events.
• Help increase leadership visibility and strengthen connections between leaders and Team Members.
• Provide communication counsel and support to leaders to enhance communication effectiveness and engagement.
Communication Technology & Digital Workplace
• Support communication technology initiatives that improve the Team Member communication experience.
• Partner with Information Technology and key stakeholders on intranet enhancements, SharePoint initiatives, and digital workplace improvements.
• Help evaluate and implement communication tools and technologies that improve accessibility, engagement, and effectiveness.
• Ensure communication platforms support the needs of both corporate and frontline Team Members.
• Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities, as appropriate.
• Model Allegiant's customer service standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
