Position and Salary The Attorney General's Office is recruiting for a permanent full time Forms & Records Analyst 3 in the Financial Services Division

This position is located in Olympia, Washington, and is not union-represented. Forms & Records Analyst 3 Salary range 47: $50,592 - $67,992 annually (Effective 7/1/2025) | $51,600 - $69,348 annually (Effective 7/1/2026) The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The following stipends may apply based on position requirements: Incumbents assigned to our Seattle office location receive an additional 5% King County Location Pay stipend.

Incumbents assigned to a position designated as requiring dual language skills will receive a 5% Dual Language Requirement Pay stipend. About the Financial Services Division Our primary goal is to protect and enhance the financial health and resources of the AGO including optimizing fund utilization and management. FIS is comprised of three highly specialized teams including Accounting, Budget, and Contracts & Grants. This newly created position serves as the public records coordinator for all AGO operational divisions including Financial Services, Human Resources, Information Services, and Facilities and works closely with the Open Government & Public Records Unit (OPR) to coordinate responses to public records requests.

This exciting opportunity is a blend of communication and detailed review and tracking. The selected candidate will work closely with knowledgeable division staff and management to ensure accurate and thorough responses. They will provide assistance and expertise regarding the Public Records Act and related AGO polices, in close coordination with OPR.

Duties and Essential Functions of a Forms & Records Analyst 3 Manage the PRR public records requests (PRR): Compile and prioritize the (PRR) as assigned by OPR Upload the information into the PRR OneNote, communicate with the assigned divisions, and request division team members to respond regarding their own records Search for, retrieve and examine documents to determine responsiveness and distribute those records for further review to record owners Provide guidance, support, and consultation to division team members regarding PRR interpretation and legal requirements to provide responses Provide guidance and expertise in four areas of records regarding redactions and the appropriate redaction codes to suggest for further review by OPR and in alignment with the Public Records Act (PRA) Liaison with Open Government & Public Records Unit (OPR): Work closely with the OPR and assigned Deputy Attorney General to understand the AGO's legal requirements and best practices regarding the PRA Remain up-to-date on changes or updates to PRR-related laws, AGO policy, and tools and resources Act as the liaison between the AGO's Operational Divisions and the OPR to ask questions and seek clarification to PRRs This recruitment announcement may be used to fill multiple open positions for the same classification, in addition to the position(s) listed in this announcement. Required Qualifications Three years of experience in forms and/or records management. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for two years of experience.
