Job description

OverallPurpose

Lead teams responsible for wireline network engineering, construction, implementation, optimization, and network transformation activities across a defined geography. Drive safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of fiber and network infrastructure while ensuring alignment with businessobjectives.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Leadership & People Management:Lead managers, engineers, construction leaders, project managers, and technical teams responsible for wireline network delivery. Develop talent through hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and succession planning. Manage contractor, supplier, and vendor relationships, including strategic negotiations and performance oversight.

  • Wireline Engineering & Construction Execution:Oversee the planning, design, construction, implementation, and optimization of wireline network infrastructure. Deliver fiber build programs, modernization initiatives, and network transformation activities while ensuring high-quality execution and operational readiness.

  • Project & Program Management:Direct large-scale engineering and construction projects and programs.Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.Coordinate across planning, engineering, implementation, PMO, operations, and external stakeholders.

  • Financial & Resource Management:Manage capital and expense budgets, workforce planning, and capacity management. Oversee material readiness, inventory, procurement, tool budgeting, supplier coordination, andsupply-chainactivities to support project delivery.

  • Operational Excellence & Technical Leadership:Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, cycle times, efficiency, and network performance. Provide expert technical leadership and consultation while supportingimplementationof advanced technologies and infrastructure optimization strategies.

  • Compliance & Safety:Ensure compliance with AT&T standards, regulatory requirements, environmental obligations, and company safety programs. Conduct inspections, enforce safety protocols, andmaintaina strong culture of safety and quality.

  • Network Monetization & Strategic Partnerships:Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to drive fiber penetration, networkutilization, customer experience, revenue growth, and EBITDAobjectivesthrough data-driven decision making.


Job Contribution

Designs and executes strategies that support the overarching philosophy of the organization. Oversees departmental programs and is often hands-on with the design and implementation of applicable strategies. Typically leads large teams, supervising supervisors as well as career-level staff within the organization. Environmental Requirements

This position maybe responsible forcontributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired. 10+ years of related experience in wireline network engineering, construction, implementation, operations, telecommunications infrastructure, ora relatedfield.
