Job description

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

What you'll do:

-Supervision and management of teams of technicians.

-Supervisory and management duties include:

leading regular huddles to discuss and direct assignments; overseeing the flow and distribution of inventory and supplies; working with dispatch in apportioning work orders amongst crew; ensuring allocation of work; maintaining technician work schedules; attendance management; maintaining and reviewing records used to supervise technicians, such as work order close out narratives, key metric reports, and time entries; identifying potential issues and missed customer-services opportunities from prior days work; providing feedback, training, and coaching to technicians; ensuring crews exhibit care and proper handling of hardware; tool budgeting; evaluating and appraising technician performance; recommending promotions for high- performing technicians and discipline for technicians who fail to meet expectations; interviewing, and gauging the skill level of, potential hires and transfers; handling technician grievances consistent with the collective bargaining agreement at the step one level; identifying and removing roadblocks to safe and efficient performance by technicians; and conducting in-field safety and quality inspections to ensure technicians are performing work properly and safely.

What you'll need:

-Supervises and manages crews of technicians responsible for day-to-day construction and engineering activities.

Education:

Typically, a high school diploma, GED or equivalent related network experience; Technical degree preferred.

Experience

Typically, at least 3-5 years of network related technical experience.

Environmental Requirements:

This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
