Job description

The Accounting Manager oversees the Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Collection processes for accurate and timely invoicing and company cash flow. Manages customer collections and inquires following a structured review and escalation process. Participates in revenue calculation per ASC 606 guidelines. Compiles project costs and tracks project profitability for major MRO projects and informs management of variances. Supervises Accounting Department and provides day-to-day and long-term workflow process improvements. Supports Assistant Controller in month-end close activity, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations that are GAAP and SOX compliant. Coordinates with other departments including ATSG corporate for matters that include but are not limited to AP and iPayables and Treasury. Participates in assignments involving full range of department activities as needed. Works with counter-parts at Tampa location on common templates and approaches for both businesses.
Required Job Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP) and public accounting professional audit standards

Preferred Job Skills:
  • Prefer 5 years relevant experience
  • Airline or MRO experience helpful
  • Strong GAAP and SOX knowledge and experience
