Job Description
Join Atlas as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) in Gresham, OR supporting major water treatment and pipeline infrastructure projects. This full-time role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with an active CWI and NDT certifications who thrives in field inspection environments.
Core Responsibilities
  • Perform field testing and inspection of construction materials and activities and accurately record test results and daily field observations
  • Perform all job functions within Atlas safety guidelines

You'll thrive here if you have
  • Current AWS CWI
  • Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions
  • Reasoning, mathematical and language skills (read, write and speak acceptable business English)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Physical strength, stamina and dexterity to lift and move 70 lbs., stop, bend and stand throughout the course of up to a 12-hour workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) a plus
  • Experience in Construction Quality Assurance/Control is a must
  • Ability to travel as necessary for job related duties
  • NDT Level II in UT or MT Testing preferred
  • Experience with large steel pipeline construction and installation
  • Experience with structural steel construction
  • Basic computer skills
  • Thorough knowledge of plan reading
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (AWWA, AWS, NACE,ASTM)
  • Knowledge of ICC for structural steel and bolting preferred
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for long term assignments throughout the West.
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Additional Certifications a plus (NACE/AMPP, ICC, PCI)
  • Ability to pass criminal background, MVR and drug screen upon offer.
  • Valid driver's license required.
