Job description

We are seeking a CADD Manager/Senior Designer (ENG Design Technician 4) to join our Plymouth Meeting, PA team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Create designs independently under broad direction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
2. Understand the need for balance between billable time and support/development support time.
3. Provide first-level support for department support software applications, networked client systems
4. Provide printer and printing support application and hardware setup and support department specific applications.
5. Identify and initiate resolutions to client problems and concerns associated with office automation equipment, computer hardware and software.
6. Advise on the purchase, installation and implementation of office automation hardware and software according to department standards and procedures.
7. Develop tools and procedures for daily operations support of Civil 3D users.
8. Complete projects with distinctive design features differing significantly from Civil 3D Technician precedents as needed
9. Direct preparation of drawings by other C3D Technicians of lesser experience, or take responsibility for direct supervision of drafting staff as needed
10. Work with client or contractor representatives as needed
11. Perform other duties as needed.
12. Must have strong organizational skills to establish priorities between technical support requests and project work.
13. Must be enthusiastic, energetic, have an excellent work ethic, and work well in a team setting.

Minimum requirements:

1. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Civil 3D, design development, construction documents, technical and engineering knowledge.
2. Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
3. A minimum of 5-years digital design (Civil 3D) and 5 years digital delivery (model data management) experience.
4. Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of civil design
5. Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
6. Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools
7. Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
8. Familiar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
9. Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting application
10. Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies
11. Familiar with Civil 3D content creation (styles) and management concepts
12. Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
13. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively service as a first-line to third-line of technical support
14. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and leadership traits are also essential.

Technical requirements:

1. A minimum of 10-years's experience preferred.
2. Previous experience building styles and implementation of Civil 3D for at least one company.
3. Previous experience working on land development and linear asses projects preferred.
4. Preference given to local candidates.
