Job Summary:
Omega Solutions, Inc. is seeking an AWS Cloud Data Engineer to join their team in Princeton, NJ. The role involves developing and maintaining enterprise-grade operational data lakes using various AWS services, while collaborating with data scientists and architects to clarify requirements and implement solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Minimum 2 years of production experience on enterprise grade operational Data lake formation/implementation and maintenance
• Hands-on experience developing systems that leverage multiple AWS services including CloudFormation, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/ any NoSQL, Relational Database Service (RDS), Glue Catalog & ETLs, Athena and QuickSight for data management and analysis
• Strong expertise ingesting historic and near real time structured/semi-structured/unstructured data into data lake
• Strong Experience in working with Data Scientists, Architects and business experts to clarify requirements for components and features of the Data Lake.
• Design, document and implement solutions to problems involving data Ingestion, Transformation, Cataloging, In-Place Querying, Storage, and Security using AWS tools and best practices
• Experience in migrating legacy systems into an Enterprise Data Lake is a Plus
• Experience in Monitoring and Optimizing the Data lake environments
• Proficient in Python, SQL queries using AWS Athena and mapping of various relational DB queries to Athena
• Preferred - Experience/Exposure to security best practices with Data lake
• Follow and enforce strict standards for code quality, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code and code maintainability
• Robust debugging skills and knowledge of automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Ability to work in an agile collaborative environment
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving aptitude and strong presentation/communications skills.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
