We’re Hiring: Bilingual Medical Biller - Behavioral Health / Psychiatry - Athena (LATAM Only)

We’re looking for a Medical Biller — Therapy & Psychiatry (Athena) to join our growing team at The Coordinators (https://coordinators.pro)! You’d be working remotely with our client in the Behavioral Health / Therapy space.

In this role, you will focus on billing for therapy and traditional psychiatry services, managing a simplified but high-volume billing workflow involving a limited set of CPT codes. You will ensure accurate claim submission, maintain low denial rates, and support efficient billing operations. This is a highly hands-on administrative role that requires reliability, structure, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate brings experience in billing for therapy groups or psychiatry practices, communicates with professionalism and clarity, and demonstrates strong organization and consistency while supporting streamlined billing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Submit and manage billing for therapy and psychiatry services.

  • Handle a defined set of CPT codes (initial eval and follow-ups; in-person and virtual).

  • Ensure accurate claim submission within Athena EMR.

  • Maintain low denial rates through proper verification and billing practices.

  • Review and resolve denied or rejected claims.

  • Maintain accurate billing documentation and records.

  • Support efficient, high-volume billing workflows.

  • Communicate internally for claim clarification when needed.

  • Ensure timely processing and follow-up on all claims.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience billing for therapy groups or psychiatry practices (required).

  • Strong experience with Athena EMR (required).

  • Familiarity with therapy billing codes and workflows.

  • Strong understanding of insurance processes and claim submission.

  • Ability to manage repetitive, high-volume billing tasks with accuracy.

  • Excellent written and spoken English with professional communication.

  • Highly detail-oriented and process-driven.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Tech-savvy and effective in a remote work environment.

  • High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information.
