Orthopedic Spine Coder (Remote) – Contract to Hire Remote | ASAP Start | From $25 to $35/hr We're hiring an experienced Orthopedic Spine Coder to join a growing team supporting a high-volume orthopedic practice. This role requires single-path coding (E/M, surgical, and diagnosis in one pass) across a variety of orthopedic specialties. What You'll Do: Code E/M, surgical procedures, and diagnoses in one workflow Review complex orthopedic cases including spine, pain management, hands, elbows, knees, ankles, and more Query physicians for clarification and ensure accurate documentation Maintain 90–95% accuracy and productivity standards (E/M: 9/hr, Surgery: 6/hr) Identify trends and contribute to process improvements What We're Looking For: Strong orthopedic and spine coding experience (single-path preferred) Experience with Cerner, Access HIM (AI coding tools a plus) AAPC or AHIMA certification required Ability to communicate effectively with providers Strong problem-solving skills and compliance mindset Open to candidates with payer-side experience Schedule: Training: M–F, 8 AM – 5 PM CST Post-training: Flexible between 7 AM – 6 PM CST Additional Details: Contract-to-hire opportunity Client-provided equipment Not open to candidates in NY or CA Fast-moving role – interviews happening immediately
