Job description

SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for ensuring compliance through a successful expectation of all 4473 backgrounds and ensuring A&D bound book is in compliance with all ATF requirements by performing the following duties.

SCHEDULE: Tuesday - Saturday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Inspects all 4473 federal background check forms are free from errors.
  • Ensures needed compliance updates of the A&D book and all ATF regulations.
  • Assists with routine firearm inventories to ensure all open-entry firearms are in stock and match systems.
  • Is responsible for the accurate and timely disposition of all firearm sales. Proofreads 4473s for errors prior to filing.
  • Ensures resolution is attempted with customers in the event there is an outstanding error on any related ATF forms by following the detailed ATF 4473 Error Correction Process. 
  • Maintains backup log of multiple handgun sales, maintains completion and filing of all department paperwork.
  • Is responsible for the complete and accurate reporting including, but not limited to: ATF trace requests, 4473 error reporting, biannual bound book, check and balance gun exception report.
  • Performs administrative duties 
  • Enforces safety, health, and security rules. 
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
