Job Summary:
Join our team as the ATC Tower Facility Chief to supervise and manage the ATC tower facility at Fort Bliss. This position ensures operational readiness, compliance with regulations, and support for safe aircraft operations. The role may be combined with the Contract Manager but is not dedicated to control positions except for currency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the ATC tower facility.
  • Present at daily 0800 synchronization meetings to brief government on missions, exercises, and ATC safety issues.
  • Interact with ATC Maintenance Branch for facility support.
  • Ensure the facility operates according to military, ICAO, and host nation rules and regulations.
  • Gather, review, and verify TERPS data associated with the facility.
  • Ensure operational readiness of facility equipment and associated NAVAIDs.
  • Ensure all controllers meet physical standards per AR 40-501 and local/host nation requirements.
  • Maintain a current file of pertinent regulations, manuals, charts, maps, and training materials.
  • Ensure assigned personnel maintain currency.
  • Maintain custodial control of facility forms, records, and publications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and distribution.
  • Initiate and maintain a facility duty schedule.
  • Conduct position qualification evaluations.
  • Administer annual written exams and conduct skill evaluations.

Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of ATC service in an Army fixed-base ATC tower operational experience controlling aircraft at Army locations.
  • Previous tower rating required prior to employment.
  • Not included in work schedules for control positions except for currency requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
  • Compliance with all federal, state, Army, and installation regulations, including safety and security protocols.
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN
