Job description

The Flight Tracking Specialist provides strategic oversight of daily flight operations, ensuring awareness and validation of all flight activity statuses. As a primary point of contact for the daily schedule, they collaborate with crew members and Owner Service Specialists to support schedule execution and client logistics. They work closely with supervisors and management to communicate solutions to operational issues, while monitoring weather and traffic management initiatives that may impact operations. Additional responsibilities include analyzing and communicating crew duty days and performing other duties as assigned by management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct flight following/locating for all flights.
  • Verify each flight's departure, enroute progress, and arrival against scheduled times.
  • Communicate schedule changes, delays/diversions with each GCC group and the OS/CAM Department.
  • Monitor crew duty/rest and flight time limits to ensure compliance with 14 CFRs.
  • Submit Duty Period Extension worksheets on the Interactive Duty Extension page in Skynet as applicable to the Flight Department for review.
  • Observe applicable safety policies and procedures.
  • Report hazards/ incidents via the Incident Reporting system.
  • Monitor crew member airlines and other positioning transportation.
  • Monitor RADAR, respond accordingly, and relay relevant information.
  • Monitor ATC EDCT programs.
  • Confirm and Submit Post Flights submitted by crews for every trip.
  • Manage day-of-trip communications via phone and email.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with Operations and Owner Services.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
  • Candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to the changing needs of the business.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work productively, independently, or within a team.
  • Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required.
  • Familiarity with core job competencies including but not limited to also weather & ATC.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school; 1-3 years of related experience preferably in an aviation/logistics environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of FARs in regard to Part 91, 121, or 135 airline operations is preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the aptitude to learn customized company software programs.

SCHEDULE & POSIITON EXPECTATIONS
  • Our operation is 365/24/7 and candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as schedule dictates. This position is fully onsite and requires in-person attendance at our Global Command Center.
