Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel PositionLocation: Valparaiso, IN
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10s Days
Pay: $2188/week
Completion Bonus: Up to $7,500 total.

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The OR RN is a crucial member of the perioperative team, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role requires an in-depth understanding of surgical protocols, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies are available.
  • Serve as a circulator or scrub nurse, anticipating the needs of the surgical team and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Monitor the patient's condition throughout the procedure, including vital signs and fluid balance.
  • Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of all patient care, interventions, and surgical counts.
  • Adhere strictly to all surgical protocols, sterility standards, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in Indiana.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent recent OR nursing experience.
  • COVID vaccine and recent TB test are required.
