Position Overview:
About AT&T's Transformation and Supply Chain (TSC) Strategy Team: AT&T's TSC Strategy Team focuses on collaborative problem-solving, strategic analysis, and analytical support to directly impact billions of dollars of AT&T's cost structure and future investments, while driving best-in-class practices across AT&T's vast supply chain and wireline networks.
Role and Responsibilities of Lead Business Strategy: Our Lead Business Strategy work in small teams to support and lead projects and craft actionable, innovative recommendations for AT&T's senior leadership. You'll analyze the impact of industry trends, emerging technologies, macroeconomic & competitive factors, and third-party supplier spend & engagement.
You'll Provide:
  • Thought leadership and strategic analysis on fast-paced, complex opportunities and challenges facing AT&T's Transformation and Supply Chain organization.
  • Fact-based negotiation support, including industry analytics, competitive event strategy, and "should cost" negotiation benchmarking.
  • Best-in-class market intelligence including M&A monitoring, supplier financial health assessments, and supply chain visibility to best position AT&T for success.
  • Creative, strategic solutions to drive meaningful transformation for AT&T's operations and cost structure.
  • Successful Candidate Profile: We've found that successful candidates on our team are motivated and analytical-minded self-leaders, and bring intellectual curiosity and a creative spirit to each project they own.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience with management consulting, analytics, strategy, or other related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a Supply Chain related field.
  • Strategic mindset and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide structured thinking to deconstruct complex problems and help advance strategic initiatives with data-driven solutions.
  • Ability to work with multiple sources of data to develop financial and operational models.
  • Strong communication (both oral and written) skills and presentation skills.
  • Effective leadership and teamwork skills working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or another highly strategic/analytical role; ideally with exposure to the telecommunications or technology industries.
  • Exposure to software, mechanical, and electrical engineering concepts.
  • MBA preferred.
