About Us:

Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC, headquartered in Dallas, is a regulated electricity transmission and distribution business that uses superior asset management skills to provide reliable electricity delivery to consumers. Oncor (together with its subsidiaries) operates the largest transmission and distribution system in Texas, delivering power to nearly 4 million homes and businesses and operating more than 144,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines in Texas.

Summary:

  • Investigate and correct equipment failures and voltage abnormalities on distribution overhead and underground primary, secondary and services.
  • Perform routine maintenance to Poles, equipment, substation structures and network systems.
  • Perform routine switching, tagging, line patrolling and inspections.
  • Perform all work in compliance with the Safety handbook and meet or exceed Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
  • Work 8-and 10-hour minimum rotating shifts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with minimal supervision along with being available for call out in adverse weather and emergency situations.
  • Must be able to job site report and maintain equipment to handle all tasks efficiently.

Skills:

  • Must demonstrate good working knowledge of the Safety handbook and have effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills with the ability to excel.

Education & Experience:

  • 18 + months experience as a Senior Lineman/Journeyman in Distribution Operations, Maintenance or Construction is required.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
