The ideal candidate for thisย OpenShiftย Engineerย role will be accountable forย engineering, support, automation and thought leadership as it relates to Oncorโs Platform-as-a-Service offerings. They will administer Oncorโs multipleย OpenShiftย clusters and will assist various project teams with application migrations to Oncorโs Platform-as-a-Service offerings, and other related activities.

โข Extensive knowledge of Linux Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and deployment of containerized applications/microservices architectures
โข Working knowledge of Java, JBoss, nginx, Node.js, and enterprise application architectures
โข Specific knowledge and experience with migrating and refactoring applications to containerized workloads
โข Experienced with automated deployment tools
โข Conceptual and applied understanding of DevOps concepts, tools, and practices
โข Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab โข Analytic skills and the ability to apply these skills in a multi-tasking environment where multiple projects will require participation at a given time
โข Ability to communicate complex technical issues, and provide comprehensive written, oral and digital products
โข Working knowledge of networking topics such as protocols, firewalls, load balancer, etc.
โข Must have the willingness to document, share knowledge and train other members of the team.
