At KBR, we are seeking an experienced Test & Evaluation Engineer supporting the Tactical Aviation & Ground Munitions (TAGM) Project Office in Huntsville, AL. The Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer supports the Javelin Program Office by planning, executing, and analyzing developmental and operational test activities for the Javelin Close Combat Missile System. This role ensures the weapon's fireandforget guidance, lethality, survivability, and platform integration performance are thoroughly assessed and verified throughout the system lifecycle. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop T&E strategies, test plans, safety releases, and datacollection requirements in accordance with Army and DoD test policies.
  • Plan and coordinate flight tests, ground firings, environmental tests, seeker characterization events, and system-level integration activities for the Javelin missile and Command Launch Unit (CLU).
  • Execute test events at government ranges, ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and operational requirements.
  • Analyze telemetry data, seeker performance, missile flight dynamics, warhead effects, and system interface behavior to evaluate requirement compliance and system effectiveness.
  • Support hardwareintheloop (HWIL) testing and digital simulations for risk reduction and design validation.
  • Collaborate with test centers, platform program offices, engineers, logisticians, quality teams, and industry partners to ensure test readiness and successful execution.
  • Participate in failure investigations, rootcause analyses, and corrective action processes for anomalies identified during testing.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including reports, briefings, and milestone review materials for program leadership and stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related technical experience
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, systems engineering or related technical field.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD secret clearance
  • Experience with Test & Evaluation (T&E)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Javelin weapons testing, missile flight tests, or system-level verification activities.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, telemetry visualization systems, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of infrared seekers, guidance and control fundamentals, missile subsystems, or soldierlaunched weapon systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Army developmental/operational test processes and T&E planning frameworks.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional technical and test teams.
