Full-time shifts - day or evening - are available. At Eagle Point Nursing & Rehabilitation our residents are family — and our nurses are the heartbeat of our care. You’ll build deep, meaningful relationships with residents while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment that truly values your compassion and expertise. 

What You'll Do: 
  • Evaluation of resident needs, conditions, and care, and assist in developing nursing care plans for individual residents, including rehabilitative and restorative activities and instruction in self-help 
  • Professional communication with family members regarding the condition and progress of the resident, including in-person discussion and answering of telephone inquiries 
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility 
  • Maintain a productive working relationship with other department supervisors and coordinate Nursing services to ensure that daily Nursing services can be performed without interruption 
  • Make daily rounds to ensure that Nursing Services personnel that report to you are performing required duties and that Nursing Services policies and procedures are being followed. 
  • Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift 
  • Receive/give the nursing report to/from your Charge Nurse colleague upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours 
  • Request and arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services for residents, as ordered by the physician and in accordance with our established procedures 
  • Implement and maintain established nursing objectives and standards 
  • Other duties as assigned 
What We're Looking For: We're looking for someone who: 
  • Active LPN or RN License in Iowa or transferrable to Iowa 
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (CPR certification offered bi-annually) 
  • Positive attitude, empathy, and the ability to lead by example 
  • Strong assessment and time-management skills 
  • Genuine passion for working with older adults 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred 
Education: 
  • High School Diploma/GED required

Experience:
