Join the MaineHealth Care at Home Admitting Department as a Per Diem Registered Nurse and play a vital role in ensuring patients receive a seamless transition from hospital or provider referral to high-quality care in the comfort of their own homes.
As an Admitting RN, you'll be the first clinical connection for patients entering home health services. Working closely with referral sources, physicians, care managers, and the interdisciplinary home health team, you'll complete comprehensive home care intake assessments, determine patient eligibility, coordinate admissions, develop individualized plans of care, and ensure patients and families understand the services available to support their recovery and independence.

Summary:
The Intake RN receives and coordinates requests for service from referral sources to provide an effective and efficient linkage between MaineHealth Care at Home and other health care providers and payers. Serves as a resource regarding community service information. Collaborates with clinical staff, scheduling and payers to ensure appropriate utilization of services and excellent customer service for all patients. This position reports to the Intake Manager.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Three to five years of progressive health care experience. One year of home care experience preferable. OR Associate's degree in nursing with appropriate experience.
2. License/Certifications: State of Maine licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current, valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $35.05 to $61.86 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
